Ergonomic and transparent supply of materials

VEBO Genossenschaft uses the Hänel Multi-Space® and Hänel Lean-Lift® vertical storage systems to optimize the supply of materials for its production facilities. The automatic provisioning supports ergonomic work processes, saves space, and ensures structured organization of the company’s storage facilities

VEBO Genossenschaft in Solothurn, Switzerland, offers various services and production-related activities, while also creating jobs for people with additional support needs. During the course of expanding its warehouse facilities, the infrastructure was enhanced with the addition of modern Hänel storage systems.

Efficient supply of materials for production facilities

The Hänel Multi-Space® enables parallel order picking thanks to three storage towers and two access points.

Employees simply request the required items at the Hänel MP14N lift controller, and the vertical storage systems then automatically transport the items to the ergonomically designed access point. High-speed doors reliably secure both access points and at the same time enable short access times.

Barcode-based inventory management

The vertical storage systems clearly store components provided by the customer for further processing as well as a wide range of production supplies. Using a manual scanner, employees reconcile every item stored and retrieved with the ERP system. Items are posted based on their barcode, ensuring that inventories are always up to date and that stock movements are transparent.
