Four Hänel Lean-Lift® systems serve as ergonomic pallet storage

Heavy and bulky spare parts as well as components needed for repairs can be compactly stored in the Hänel Lean-Lift® systems. Pre-picked pallets are readily available to the service teams for the next deployment

Based in Kerns, Elektrizitätswerk Obwalden (EWO) is a regional energy service provider, which operates its own infrastructure. The company relies on four pallet-based Hänel Lean-Lift® systems for storing network construction and maintenance supplies. The vertical storage systems compactly store complete Euro pallets and make them readily available for the service and installation teams.

The vertical storage systems make optimal use of the entire floor-to-ceiling height in the warehouse, delivering high storage capacity within a small footprint. At the same time, the enclosed design reliably protects the stored items from dust, dirt, and unauthorized access. This eliminates the need for conventional high-bay storage with forklifts.

Direct supply of pallets for outdoor use

Complete Euro pallets with a capacity of up to 1,000 kg can be effortlessly loaded and unloaded directly at ground level using a pallet truck. When pallets are requested at the Hänel MP 14 N lift controller, the extractor brings them directly to the user for retrieval at the access point, where the supplies needed for repairs or maintenance work can then be collected directly using the pallet truck.

The storage systems are equipped with the Hänel ESB redundancy system to ensure high system availability. This means that availability of materials required for repairs and maintenance work can be reliably ensured.
